We are all living with this new normal. The economic impact on the performing artist community has been devastating. Green Kill live streaming events are accessed by making a donation on Ticketspice which requires that you contribute a minimum of 2 dollars. Green Kill is able to bring this live stream to the public at great personal cost. Please help us to keep this quality program going.
James ‘Séamus’ Casey is a 1st generation Irish American from Staten Island. His father, John Francis Casey, was an hereditary Seannachie & the official poet of the old Irish World newspaper. James has an MA from Hunter College & has performed mostly on the 74th longitude from NYC to Albany for over 50 yrs. He was the winner of the last Day of the Poet challenge in 1995 at SUNY Ulster.
He’s published sporadically using the excuse that in his lineage, speaking out loud to listeners amplifies its meaning & is more transcendent than the printed word.
Leslie Gerber was born in Brooklyn in 1943 and graduated from Brooklyn College. He has been a book cataloger, owner of a mail order classical record business, and a classical music DJ. He is still writing poetry and publishing classical music CDs. After his wife Tara McCarthy died in 2018, he published the book Losing Tara: An Alzheimer's Journey. He lives in Woodstock with his excellent dog Winnie, and visits in Kingston with his friend Barbara and his step-cat Poppy.
