How to attend events in person:
Green Kill events are livestream production events open to an audience of 30.
You can reserve a seat for 10 dollars plus processing fees here.
You may pay 10 dollars in cash at the door. However, once capacity is reached a “Sold Out” sign will be on the door and the there will be no further admittance.
To come to the event in person, arrive by 10 minutes before show time.
Support Green Kill
Green Kill is 100 percent volunteer run.
The money generated through subscriptions, donations and ticket sales pays performers and the sound engineer and operation costs of the facility.
A single donation of five dollars from all subscribers helps immensely to insure Green Kill will be able to continue supporting artists.
Ayumi Ishito
Ayumi Ishito was born and raised in Ishikawa, Japan. At the age of 19, she began playing tenor saxophone in a college big band at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto.
In 2007, Ayumi received a scholarship to attend Berkley College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She spent three years there studying performance and composition.
After graduating from Berkley, Ayumi moved to New York in 2010. Ayumi has been playing with many different groups. One of her recent projects Open Question received 4 stars review in DownBeat magazine in 2022. Also her another project The Spacemen was selected for the Best Jazz of 2021 in Bandcamp.
As a composer, Ayumi has been leading her quintet since 2011 and performing her compositions. The band released two albums, “View From A Little Cave” in 2016 and “Midnite Cinema” in 2019.
Takuma Kanaiwa
Takuma Kanaiwa is a New York City based musician and electrical engineer. His music is known for transcending genres such as free jazz and Japanese folk
Daniel Carter
Carter has recorded and performed with many distinguished musicians, including William Parker, Federico Ughi, DJ Logic, The Negatones, Thurston Moore, Yo La Tengo, Soul-Junk, Anne Waldman, Cooper-Moore, Matthew Shipp and scientist/musician Matthew Putman among others. He is a member of the cooperative free jazz groups Test, Other Dimensions In Music, odon, Ghost Moth and Dissipated Face.
Jonathan Wilson
Jonathan Wilson is drummer/ percussionist / composer rooted in free improvisational music, exploratory rhythmic compositions, and collaborative sounds. Having performed with Daniel Carter, Tom Chess, Tim Dahl, On Ka’ Davis, Theirno Camara, Ayumi Ishito, Matthew Hayner, Takuma Kanaiwa, Primus Luta, Odon, Paul r. Harding, David Sewelson, and many others. He incorporates decades of playing with openness and fierce determination to discover new sounds and new expressions in music.
Scott Kent, Sound Engineer
Scott Kent originally came to Woodstock in 1988 to work for Bearsville Studios. He taught guitar at Abrams Music and the Kingston Conservatory of Music before moving to San Diego in 1993. He taught Band and Orchestra for San Diego Unified School District for 18 years and returned to Mt. Tremper in 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University.
