Green Kill Policies for Performers
These are the policies for artists interested in participating in Green Kill's performance program.
Overview
Green Kill is an artist-driven visual arts and performance space that fosters mutual support among artists. We encourage artists to recommend each other, creating a vibrant community. Performers join our Green Kill Sessions because they value our unique production esthetics and recognize the creative energy we bring to the table.
About the livestreaming program:
Green Kill’s performances are all live-streamed. To make sure we get the best possible recording, we’ve invested in top-notch sound and video equipment. As a performer, we’d really appreciate it if you could help us out with sound and lighting checks. Thanks a bunch!
How events are curated:

List of Equipment for Performance
One week prior to scheduled performance date performers must provide a list of your equipment so that the sound engineer can make an assessment of what is needed to deliver the best sound from your performance.
What you need to know about the day of performance.
Green Kill livestreams usually last an hour, but it’s okay if it’s a bit longer or shorter.
Before you come, make sure your equipment is ready to go.
Performers should arrive at least an hour before the show starts. Sound check for musical events is at 7:15. Performers should have their equipment ready and set up by then. If performers are late, Green Kill may have to cancel the event.
Before the performance, performers will get a chance to hear a sample of the sound.
Green Kill is all set to handle live streaming with ease. They’ve got top-notch equipment that delivers crystal-clear HD stereo to their YouTube Green Kill Sessions page. They’ve got a full PA system and stage lighting, and they even have alternative backdrop curtains for different performances. The stage is a nice 16 x 7 feet. Green Kill also offers green screen and touch designer performance enhancement solutions. The performers or performers must give Green Kill the green light to post the video after the event on Green Kill Sessions, Green Kill’s YouTube and Substack accounts. If you’re not keen on this, please don’t schedule an event.
How Green Kill promotes events:
Green Kill promotes on Substack. The address is greenkill.substack.com. A link for your PR will be sent to you. Our Substack page links to TicketTailor. It is highly recommended that you add the Eventbrite link directly to your promotional materials.
Green Kill also has a Facebook group where we share Substack pages.
How to increase ticket sales:
Green Kill sends out 1600 subscriber emails for each event, but there’s no guarantee that everyone will attend.
It’s in your best interest to promote your event as much as possible.
We’ve noticed that performers who make an effort to promote their events tend to receive higher compensation.ion.
How gross proceeds for an event are allocated:
The cost of producing these fancy and public events can vary a lot from one to another, mostly because of how much outreach we do.
Gross Sales over $100
If we make more than $100, we split the gross proceeds minus ticket vendor fees equally between each performer, the house, and the sound engineer. For instance, if we have 5 performers with a gross of $100, we’ll split it 5 ways, so each performer gets $20.
*Gross Sales under $100
If we make less than $100, we split the gross proceeds 3 ways. One performer gets one-third, the house gets two-thirds, and the sound engineer gets the remaining third.
Gross Sales under $40
If we make less than $40, we don’t pay out any money.
The money is sent to you by Venmo or PayPal as soon as it clears the Green Kill account. You can also send a check. Performers can ask for the money to be sent to one performer for all on stage or to each performer separately.
