Green Kill Sessions presents Rebekkah Palov, Monday, June 2, 8M.
It takes a certain commitment and perseverance to hone one's craft through weekly live performances for internet strangers and build an extensive sonic vocabulary in the process. Rebekkah Palov welcomes those strangers every week to her homegrown studio and the audio has evolved into something both understated and remarkable.
The simple visuals belie the complexity of the sounds you hear, usually alternating amongst two cameras in a room pointed at the performer with raw video footage exploring the everyday: plastic recycle bottles, the contents of a closet, rows of trash dumpsters, plants etc. Equally important is what you don't see: the computer screen. Only the edge of a laptop and a hands on a midi controller showing a connection to an unspecified software.
The performances just keep getting better. Tune in.
