Satan’s Black Acid

Satan’s Black Acid is a Noise/Drone/Metal/Psych Group located in the Catskills, New York. The group was started in 2015 in a small apartment in Lefferts Garden, Brooklyn, NY by visual artist Will Staples and poet Cole Heinowitz, who goes by the nom de plume Cole Flowers when creating havoc.  They have preformed at the Green Kill, the Widow Jane Mine and live on WGXC radio’s program Poet Radyo.  They released their debut 7” single in early 2020 and are currently working on a new single coming out in the summer of 2023.  For the last two and a half years Satan’s Black Acid have been underground waiting to rise again.

Most Serene Congress

Most Serene Congress is a wide-ranging improvisational, sonically meandering, trio / digital recording project based in the Hudson Valley. As reflected on recent albums (https://mostserenecongress.bandcamp.com/), the group’s members—Chris Funkhouser, David Hirmes, and Leonard Nevarez—cultivate drones and melodies through ambient synth-based music and atmospheric poetry.

Scott Kent, Sound Engineer

Scott Kent originally came to Woodstock in 1988 to work for Bearsville Studios. He taught guitar at Abrams Music and the Kingston Conservatory of Music before moving to San Diego in 1993. He taught Band and Orchestra for San Diego Unified School District for 18 years and returned to Mt. Tremper in 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University.
