Green Kill Sessions presents BigBigDogDog" (or the other way around), Ky Brooks and Walter Wright, and Duo Denum, Al Margolis and Tom Law on Wednesday, November 16 at 8 PM.

Live audience

Audience members who wish to attend a performance in-person will reserve a ticket to attend the livestream event.

In addition, in-person audience members will also receive a livestream link which they can watch later.

This audience is limited to 30.

KyBrooks and Walter Wright

Ky Brooks

is a sound engineer, noise musician and scholar. They have been active in the Montréal experimental music scene since 2011 when they co-founded La Plante. They are a PhD student at McGill U, where their research explores embodied knowledge and performativities in audio engineering. Their musical practice as vocalist and instrumentalist is mainly concerned with themes of embeddedness, alienation, gentrification, and the built environment.

Walter Wright

is an interdisciplinary artist, his practice includes computer programming, music, and video performance. His focus is on “improvisation as a way of being present in the world.”

Al Margolis and Tom Law

Al Margolis

has been working under the musical pseudonym If, Bwana since New Year's Day 1984. The moniker is an acronym for "It's Funny, But We Are Not Amused." He has since earned an international reputation for his experimental noise music.

Tom Law

He is a composer/improviser from Saugerties NY who performs laptop-based electroacoustic music. He also plays viola da gamba, and curates a series of concerts at Opus 40 sculpture park that range from early music to avant pop. A native South Carolinian, he opened the figmental Conundrum Music Hall in West Columbia in 2011, and closed it in 2015.
