I was so incredibly taken with Betty's book. Her sharp voice and wit moves from the upside of being underestimated to haiku-like visions of life in the wild, and odes for beloveds lost. She entwines the magical and the mundane effortlessly, and captures the hazy glow that time gives both our bitterest and most beloved memories. It's complicated... and simple. Accessible. I can't recommend it enough.
